Steel production cuts triggered fears of falling demand：

Multi - provincial energy double control measures continue to increase, stainless steel mills have limited production shutdown. On September 16, east China and south China two mainstream stainless steel mills have stopped production, said at least until the end of September. The total output of 300 series stainless steel is more than 300,000 tons.

Stainless steel production in China is down：

According to Yumi Steel’s investigation, the production of two stainless steel mills in Jiangsu province will be limited to 30-50%, and the other one stainless steel will also be affected due to raw material problems. Guangxi steel mills limited production by 40%, but due to full production in the first half of the month, the overall reduction in September did not significantly reduce. A steel mill in southern China has suspended production until the end of the month because of energy problems. In September above 200 +300 series stainless steel reduction in about 400,000 tons.

According to statistics, 300 series stainless steel in September is expected to reduce 12.97% in August to 1.28 million tons, 200 series stainless steel in August to reduce 23.11% to 630,000 tons.
