The MGO wall system for light steel villas uses magnesium oxide board as the enclosure material, paired with a light steel keel frame to replace traditional gypsum or cement board. MGO board offers A1 fire resistance, low water absorption (10–18%), and natural resistance to mold, termites, and pests, making it suitable for humid and coastal areas. It is lightweight (0.9–1.2 g/cm³), easy to cut and install, and forms a strong "keel-panel" composite system with flexural strength above 14 MPa. For suppliers like Yumisteel, factory-prefabricated panels speed up on-site construction. Key considerations include confirming a non-chloride (MOS) formulation to avoid moisture and corrosion issues, and ensuring proper joint sealing for outdoor use.
