Common metal roof panels can be divided into the following two categories according to their materials: galvanized color-coated panels and aluminum-zinc color-coated panels.
Color-coated boards are composed of substrate, plating and coating, the main factors that affect the anti-corrosion performance are the coating and plating.
The common ones are galvanized color coated sheets and aluminum-zinc color coated sheets. Metal aluminum has its own uniqueness in anti-corrosion. The metal will quickly form a dense and thick aluminum oxide film in the air. The rapid formation of this aluminum oxide film prevents the further invasion of corrosion. Aluminized zinc plate utilizes the protective effect of aluminum oxide film and the electrochemical protective effect of zinc on iron. It is generally believed that it has better anti-corrosion performance than galvanized plate. The coating has double-sided 240g/m2, 180 g/m2, 150 g/m2, 50 g/m2 and other specifications. The worse the environment, the heavier the coating.
There are many types of coatings, including fluorocarbon coating (PVDF), high durability polyester (HDP), silicon modified polyester (SMP), PVC plastisol, and polyester (PE).
Generally, the color retention of fluorocarbon coated color steel plates can reach more than 20 years, and the anti-corrosion life is as long as 40 years. The color retention of other organic paint color steel plates is usually 10 years, which can provide nearly 20 years of corrosion protection. The life of color-coated panels usually refers to color retention (color difference ≤5, chalking ≤5).
The preferred coating for color-coated boards in pig houses requires double-sided 150g/m2. The coating adopts fluorocarbon coating. Be careful not to damage the surface during the construction process. According to relevant test conclusions, the service life of color-coated boards is still guaranteed.
